What's the Point?

By Victor M Fontane

The whole point of a spiritual practice is: “What you already got you’ll get that, what never was will goes away.” This means that through your spiritual practice you recognize and get your true and real self, Brahma or God if you will. Also, what you think you are, your body, your mind and your emotions will go away because they are not the real you, just a construct of the relative mind. The reason for not recognizing our true self is because of ignorance and the purpose of studying “saddhana” or spiritual teachings is to remove ignorance.
