What is a Human Being?

By Victor M Fontane

Since science and the first formulators of modern psychology were doctors, they always saw human behavior from the point of view of biochemistry. But this is really a biochemical machine with something else and the true definition of the human being was solved and taught by the Neoplatonists.

From Pythagoras to Plato to Proclus to Hamonio Sacas to Plotinus to Origenes to Porfirio and eventually Baruch Spinoza who created a different approach to the human being. So, the human being is an integral being in the image and likeness of the Universe and not a descendant of the ancient primitives, Cro-Magnons, Neanderthals, etc. and not magically created by any superior being but a result of the evolving Universe.
