Humans, generally speaking, get into experiences, circumstances, things just because others do it or satisfying their beliefs, their likes, to feel powerful, better than others and they become what is called in ancient traditions, Hungry Ghosts, because the more they have, the more they want, etc. This is because they don’t know or fully understand the ultimate reality of things and/or experiences and the significance of impermanence, compassion, don’t know and feel part of the whole and one with everything and everyone and ultimately because they don’t know that we all have to evolve spiritually to achieve our highest possible human potential, etc.
Until the latter does not happen, the human race will not be able to advance on the spiritual path and will continue to be stuck in the processes of pain and suffering, passing only through temporary moments of happiness without peace of mind.
