Rules given to Moses by God for his people to follow reveal some important aspects:
-God was in the top of mount Sinai to give Moses the tablets with the Decalogue or rules to be observed and obeyed by his people. This means that God being in the mountain it was not omnipresent.-After so many centuries humanity has not complied with any of those rules, specially religious people. When religious principles give power to the political element, you silence morality promoting war and abuses. However, other spiritual traditions like Hinduism and Buddhism gave their disciples the Dharma which is what sustains society in a coherent and organized way.
