Three drunks wanted to cross the river to get home, so they got into a boat and started rowing all night, but in the morning they realized they were in the same place because they never untied the boat.
In spiritual life we strive for enlightenment, but it takes time. You start to meditate and practice and practice and it is the most subtle of all tasks and the greatest of all adventures. Exactly like studying, you start the first day but don't graduate the next, it takes time and opening a business is not a millionaire the next day, it takes time. Only for those who start, let go of the old and stay on the path to achieve nirvana.
