How long is a life for humans?

By Victor M Fontane

We are born, we grow up, we are educated, we work, we get sick, we get old and we die because of karma. Thus, we are reborn again when the law of karma brings together all people, conditions, places, and experiences to face the consequences of our actions in past lives.

Unfortunately, most people don't have the conscious memories of their past lives, so we start a new one from scratch. However, all human beings, with so many past lives and accumulated karma, have to experience some specific karma in one lifetime. That means that when you get into a relationship, parents, friends, co-workers, lovers, marriage, etc. is for karmic reasons and when that relationship ends it is because the karma that united them is exhausted. We all have a role in the lives of others. Forcing the continuation of the relationship can create additional new karma that must be dealt with later.

Moreover, when we die is because all the karma we had to work on in this life has been exhausted. Trying to lengthen our life can also create new karma.
