GREAT ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE

Freemasons use the initials G.A.D.U. to refer to the GREAT ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE, a term with which refer to what other people call God. In this way we avoid enclose our brothers into particular religious interpretations so, each one can relate to that Universal Power in the way that his conscience dictates. The use of the term Architect has been taught for centuries in Freemasonry to give the Freemason, from his beginnings in the Order, the notion that the Universe follows a design manifested by a Mind, which prints on the Universal Matter the plan that the workers or other Hierarchies will implement. All the Mysteries in Freemasonry are inspired by the allegory of the construction of King Solomon's Temple which is a model of the Universe. If we are gods trapped in the dense matter of these physical envelopes, then we should be Architects of our lives and therefore decide and design how we want to live. The drawing board is our mind and the tools are our imagination and will, which sustains our discipline. In tantra the imagination is called Kriya Shakti and the will Ichcha Shakti. Those two powers used by the yogi plus the Matrika Shakti or the power of sound are the elements used to create the apparent miracles that the Adepts perform. Enough of talking about destiny, luck and the rest of those absurd concepts that only weaken us.
