"One who does not give up, whose mind does not fall into despair, and who practices goodness to attain freedom from suffering will eventually break free from all attachments." – Buddha (Khuddaka Nikaya, Jataka 27/18)
All living beings share the same basic truth—we are all born, grow old, face illness, and eventually pass away. From the moment we are born until our last breath, suffering is a part of life, just like darkness is a natural part of the world.
However, we see light because of the sun, the moon, or a flame, which brightens our world. In the same way, our inner world has a light of its own—a brilliant light of Dhamma that is even brighter than the midday sun.
This inner light of wisdom can free us from suffering. That’s why we should all realize the great value of practicing Dhamma and commit to it wholeheartedly.
