About the Nature of Reality

By Jose N Garcia, Vedic Astrologer

Two lovers go to the beach at night and say: “what a romantic night”, however the night is not romantic, it is just a night like any other, they really are romantic lovers looking at the night. Others, seeing the night after a problem will see a sad night. In other words, who defines reality believes that it is the true reality.

Types of realities or consciences that humans produce:

1. Naive reality. For people with an untrained mind, things exist as they see them.

2. Names. We assign existence by the names we assign to objects or phenomena.

3. Mental imputations. Human projects on objects and phenomena his own previous experience. These are produced by the karmic seeds that he brings from previous lives.

4. Consciousness or reality product of the training of the mind. People who through their philosophical training know that things are not as they seem. The reason is that every phenomenon observed does not exist by itself and depends on factors or causes that generate it, that is, it depends on the law of cause and effect. So if every phenomenon is not permanent and has no existence by itself, reality is illusory.

Thus, the observer whose mind is trained transcends the relative nature of phenomena and the illusion of reality. There is also a common imaginative reality that all humans are experiencing and at the same time there is a personal karmic experience or a particular imaginative reality experience based on karmic seeds.

Speaking then of past lives we can imagine how many physical bodies belonged to us in the past and those who transcends and reaches mastery or enlightenment each of their particles of those bodies occupied through their incarnations will become their disciples to continue the Evolutionary process.
